Trunesh
Teklegiorgis, who came to the United States from Ethiopia
5 years ago, works full-time in the parking industry for only $7.35/hour.
One
of Trunesh’s daughters has joined her here, but the other three
are still at home. From her poverty wages, Trunesh has to spend $1000
a month on lawyers to navigate the immigration system.
"I work hard at TWO
jobs to support my four daughters. It is hard to make ends meet. After
rent, food and lawyers fees, there is very little left. I should not have
to struggle so hard to be with my family!"
