HUNDREDS RALLY IN DEMAND OF REBATES FROM COLONIAL PARKING

On Wednesday morning, March 24th, 150 parking workers and their supporters rallied to demand that Colonial Parking give customers a parking “rebate” for what Colonial does not pay for workers’ health insurance. The early morning activity emphasized that while Colonial Parking workers are paying eleven times more for health insurance than workers at unionized garages in the area, Colonial still charges the same parking rates.

The participants passed out “rebate” coupons for customers to send to Colonial Parking which state that, “It shouldn’t cost the same to park in your garages as it does in those where responsible employers pick up the high costs of health insurance.”
