STUDENTS AND WORKERS UNITE FOR JUSTICE

Some fifty students, workers, and community supporters came out in the freezing rain Friday morning to greet the George Washington Board of Trustees.

The crowd met at the Colonial Garage at 1800 G Streets and then marched to animated chants towards the location of the Board meeting. The energy never dwindled, and even intensified as supporters took to the street to block traffic on F Street for a number of minutes, forcing cars to turn around during the busy morning rush-hour.

Members of Local 27, leaders of student groups, and workers in buildings on campus spoke in a rally at the end to emphasize their solidarity with parking workers fighting for their rights and to demand that GW and the Lindner family treat workers right!
