VORNADO TENANTS SUPPORT PARKING WORKERS!

Tenants in buildings owned by Vornado, the biggest real estate company in the DC area, are uniting in support of DC parking workers. Even though Vornado has chosen unionized companies to provide janitorial and engineering services at all its buildings, it has not done this for all its parking garages.

Vornado tenants are outraged that workers at PMI and Colonial Parking are forced to pay exorbitant amounts for health insurance on low wages. Over the past weeks, Vornado tenants have begun to hold meetings with PMI workers to discuss how they can help.

One such meeting happened on Wednesday, February 4th at 1730 M St NW. At this meeting, PMI employee Louis Stokes told a standing-room-only group about his struggle for rights at PMI.
